Xi Men ng Original F4 , Ken CHu May Kinakaharap na Rare Medical Condition

If you are a 90’s baby, most probably you went all heads-over-heels in love with the members of the male group called F4, popularized by the hit 2000s Taiwanese TV series, Meteor Garden. Actors like Vic Zhou (Hua Zi Lei), Jerry Yan (Dao Ming Zi), Vanness Wu (Mei Zu Huo), and Ken Chu (Xi Men) were the leading actors that are all over the main character, San Cai, played by actress Barbie Hsu. And surely, you have been crushing on one of them if not all!

After two decades in the scene, the group had decided to part ways and left their cheesy, teen-bopper music to pursue careers within and outside show business. And for years, we haven’t heard much about the actors the world used to admire.

But apparently, news have spread that one of the former members of the F4, was diagnosed with a rare chronic condition. Taiwanese actor, Ken Chu, has admitted in one interview that he was never happy that he was part of the all-male group.

He quotes, “Back then, I wasn’t happy when I was part of F4. I simply wasn’t happy regardless of what I did. But now, I can do whatever I want in terms of music or other aspects, and it feels great!”

Chu, now 40, is happily settled with his wife, Chinese actress Vivian Han. He also got his degree in retail management from Beijing.

But when asked about his condition, Ken Chu also revealed that he is suffering a chronic condition called fibromyalgia, a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. He battles muscle discomfort every now and then.

He has also been asked on having kids, and Ken Chu responded that he probably won’t be amused on having a kid knowing that he has this health condition. He worries that if he will be having a kid, the child might inherit his disease and suffer as much as he does. And for him, he wouldn’t want that.

He admittedly have to cut-off some workload drastically to aid with his worsening condition.
