Several netizens had raised their eyebrows when they saw the video of Kim Chiu dancing the famous Bawal Lumabas dance step. Earlier reports said that the video was taken at the middle of the traffic along EDSA. However, the kapamilya actress denied it.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago said that the MMDA will going to investigate Kim Chiu and her viral video. They will double check the video if its legit and really happened along the EDSA. They also plan to invite the kapamilya actress to their office so that Kim Chiu can give her side and clear things up.
“We have so many problems that should be addressed and for the meantime, this is our reaction to the issue concerning actress Miss Kim Chiu. We will verify the truth about the report. We will check if this video of Miss Kim Chiu really happened on EDSA. We will invite her to explain her side then we will act accordingly.”
On the other hand, Kim Chiu answered on her Instagram account. She said that the video happened on a parking lot. The kapamilya actress is also hoping that people will stop spreading unverified news.
“Thank you for all the support classmates' super few stocks left!!!🤍 Thank you for supporting the shirt for a cause and sa nagpapakalat ng fake news na sa edsa ako sumayaw, hello?!!! Okay ka lang??? At the end of the day, we can say that Kim Chiu is just doing her best to help. She promoted her Bawal Lumabas Merch and the earnings will straightly donate to those who are in need. In this kind of unsafe season, we encourage everyone to promote love and unity. Remember what Martin Luther King said, Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.
